Application workshops are virtual events hosted by a member of the Admissions Committee. Connect with fellow prospective students through these interactive sessions, and gain insights into specific components of the application in these themed workshops. Please plan to enable video and audio capabilities for the duration of the workshop. Registration is limited to ensure meaningful participation from attendees.

Join Darden Admissions and Professor Shane Dikolli for a faculty thought leadership webinar series for prospective students. 
Shane Dikolli is the Bank of America Associate Professor of Business Administration at Darden. His primary research interests focus on the performance evaluation of CEOs spanning both analytical modeling and empirical analysis. Dikolli currently serves as an editor at The Accounting Review and has served as an editor at Journal of Management Accounting Research and as an ad hoc editor at Contemporary Accounting Research.

Join Darden Admissions and Professor Ian Appel for a faculty thought leadership webinar series for prospective students. 
Ian Appel is an associate professor at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. His main area of interest is empirical corporate finance. His recent work studies different types of institutional investors (e.g., index funds, activist hedge funds), corporate environmental behaviors, and governance in decentralized finance. He has won several awards for his research, including the 2021 Brattle Group Prize Distinguished Paper from the Journal of Finance. His research has been featured by various media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Harvard Business Review.

Join Darden Admissions and Professor Michael Ho for a faculty thought leadership webinar series for prospective students. 

Michael J. Ho is entering his 24th year teaching in the Finance area at Darden. His research interests have included mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, equity research analysts behavior, investment bank reputations and underwriter choice in initial public offerings. 

With over 35 years of transaction experience in mergers and acquisitions, Ho is a managing director and the co-head of Buyside M&A Advisory at Fifth Third Securities, the investment banking division of Fifth Third Bank. Prior to joining Fifth Third, he was co-founder and managing director of Praxis Partners LLC, a financial advisory firm focused on providing mergers and acquisitions advisory services to middle-market companies and custom executive education programs for financial institutions. Before co-founding Praxis Partners and its predecessor company, he was a principal in Mergers and Acquisitions and director of Asia-Pacific Investment Banking at Robertson Stephens & Company, a leading financial adviser to emerging growth companies in the high-technology, health care and consumer products and specialty retailing industries, and an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at the First Boston Corporation, under the direction of Bruce Wasserstein and Joe Perella.
